For the month of May we are presenting a vibrant artwork, Awelye Atnwengerrp by Emily Pwerle, younger sister of the late artist, Minnie Pwerle. This lovely piece, painted in 2010, is a visual celebratration of the colour, movement and symbols of women’s ceremony in Emily's country of Atnwengerrp, Utopia. The warm tones, the hot pinks, imbued with red and orange are redolent of the desert sands and the Australian earth. This painting sings with an infectious joy and an energy which transcends the canvas. For May only, it is available for almost half its usual price!
