Simon Ross was an elder in Irrultja, Utopia & was the brother of David Pwerle Ross & William Pwerle Ross. This painting represents the designs used by Simon Ross during traditional scared ceremonies and is one of the last Simon Ross painted. Having rarely painted on canvas during his life time; the few works that he created convey great beauty, strength and respect for his culture.
